Celebrating 15 Years of GCNS

Celebrating 15 Years of GCNS: A Hauntingly Special Milestone

Fifteen years ago, on a crisp Halloween night in 2009, GC Network Solutions was born. While kids roamed the streets collecting candy and the moon cast eerie shadows, I was at my desk, launching a business that would grow into something I’m deeply proud of today.

Halloween has always been more than just a date on the calendar for me—it’s my favorite time of the year. The spooky vibes, the creative costumes, the crisp autumn air… it’s all magic to me. So, it’s only fitting that GCNS shares this anniversary with such a legendary holiday.

Reflecting on the past 15 years, I can’t help but feel immense gratitude. To every client who has trusted me with their IT needs, to every project we’ve tackled together, and to every late-night troubleshooting session—we’ve built more than just systems and networks. We’ve built relationships.

Running GCNS has always been about more than just solving tech problems; it’s been about creating partnerships built on trust, reliability, and a shared vision for success.

As I look ahead, I’m excited for the next chapter. There are more networks to secure, more businesses to support, and more moments to celebrate.

But tonight? Tonight, I’ll be out there in my long black trench coat, red and white contacts in place, embracing the spirit of Halloween, and maybe giving a few trick-or-treaters a good jump scare.

To all my clients, friends, and supporters—thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Here’s to 15 years of GCNS and many more to come.

Stay spooky, stay connected, and Happy Halloween!

As my son graduates high school and heads off to college, I’ve been reflecting on how fatherhood and engineering overlap. Whether I’m guiding my kids through life or helping clients with their IT systems, it all comes down to communication, listening, and making thoughtful adjustments. In both parenting and technology, the goal is the same: stay connected and keep things running strong.

On this Earth Day, I’m connecting two unlikely worlds I love—mushrooms and computer networks. From the underground magic of mycelium to the complex systems we build at GC Network Solutions, this post explores how nature’s original network inspires smarter, more sustainable IT. Spoiler alert: fungi might be the OG network engineers.
